About Us

> Digitally Dead Games is a small, independent video game studio founded in Santa Cruz, California, by a lone developer who decided to take a gamble to pursue their love of video games, big and small.

> Its singular pursuit is to make fun, original games that ring true to our slogan, "A fine purveyor of sophisticated time-wasters."

Philosophy

> We love video games, plain and simple. We love making video games, as well. We strive to make fun, original games that both tickle the mind and meaningfully waste time.

> We also dislike the marketing tactics of modern games with loot boxes, cosmetic purchases, and grinding gameplay to encourage pay to win schemes. While we do use ads in our games to allow players to enjoy the game for free, we believe that a one-time purchase to remove ads and to own a game forever is your right.

Etymology

> Dead games are games that are no longer playable due to a game publisher willingly making it unplayable or indirectly making it unplayable. While we strive to never run into that scenario (and will release our games and source code for free if so), our name aims to raise awareness of this increasingly growing problem.

> Video games are as much a heritage worth historical documentation and being playable for future generations as much as any music, movie, or literature.
